Hi there...Thanks so much for visiting my site! I am a fashion illustrator and designer from St. Louis, Missouri. I work out of my home studio in our downtown loft where I craft fashion-infused illustrations of beautiful creatures. My goals are simple: inspire smiles & conversation and possibly add a bit of glam to the walls of my patrons.

A little about me...This is my second (professional) life, of sorts. Wait, no...third life. I actually started Morsekode once before, when my children were very young. It was a dream come true for a young designer; I made fashion-fueled artwork and elegant custom clothing. I marketed, designed, developed, sourced, stitched and sold both artwork and bespoke garments...a true one-woman show. Multiple art openings, fashion shows, media events, photo shoots, etc...it was such an exciting time in my life. I wouldn’t change a thing...However, the flipside reveals a plethora of side jobs I held simultaneously: real estate agent, bartender, waitress, fit model, wife and mother-certainly not in that order. After several years of Morsekode, it became clear that it was time for a more conventional way of life for my growing family. So into the world of corporate fashion I went (i.e. salary; benefits; cubicles; bosses).

Fast forward 16 years and I find myself reinventing Morsekode. I guess in a way, I’ve come full circle (which is a lovely thing). My corporate life taught me many things about focus, leadership and brand elevation. It was great to be a part of rapidly growing fashion-based company. I held many different positions and humbly believe I played a role in their success, which makes me feel really good. However, the pull of entrepreneurship can be intense, and eventually, I realized that building my own brand was my true calling...Thus, the resurrection of Morsekode. I picked up my pencils, pens and brushes and refocused my efforts on illustrating glamourous and whimsical fashion artwork, selling my prints and creating custom pieces for my fabulous clients.

When I sit down to start a new piece, I love pushing my aesthetic by trying new things: different mediums, provocative poses, fresh compositions…challenging myself to be better. I am continuously influenced by art, nature, history and of course, fashion--past, present and future. Each illustration is my vision of some experience I’ve had (or dreamed of having), people I’ve known (or dreamed of knowing), and designs I’ve worn (or dreamed of wearing).
